Problem behaviour

It’s important to observe the horse’s behaviour and analyse where the change might comes from. First of all we need to exclude any physical or medical problems. Pain is one of the main causes of ‘problem behaviour’.

If the horse is physically ok, we can start analysing his behaviour changes when handling and riding.

Horses that are acting differently have something to tell us. When they don’t feel understood, when they don’t understand what we want from them, when they feel uncomfortable, they will try and express their frustration in different ways.

It’s our responsibility as a horse owner and trainer to recognise, solve and even prevent problems.

Let’s work together!
